Comment 4 Ben Beasley 2025-04-09 17:14:16 UTC
There are now several test cases in python-pydantic-core that check for behavior changes associated with url>2.5.2 and idna 1.x. I want to make sure we get finally get that update across the finish line (it has many dependencies in the ICU4X stack, so it’s taken a while) as a precondition for this one.

Comment 5 Gwyn Ciesla 2025-04-10 18:37:55 UTC
This is needed for python-pyforgejo 2.0.1, which for some reason lacks a bug.

Note that Pydantic minor release tend to have tiny breaking changes, so I’m only planning to ship Pydantic 2.11 in Rawhide/F43.

Comment 7 Gwyn Ciesla 2025-04-10 20:24:54 UTC
Given other constraints, I think that should be fine.
