Description Daniel Rusek 2025-04-04 10:22:34 UTC
The anaconda version present in F42 Beta contains incomplete translations. Please, consider updating it to a more recent version with translations synced from Fedora Weblate before F42 Final.

Comment 1 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2025-04-04 10:24:10 UTC
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 42-final by Fedora user asciiwolf using the blocker tracking app because:

The anaconda version present in F42 Beta contains incomplete translations.

Comment 2 Katerina Koukiou 2025-04-04 11:16:28 UTC
Can you specify please some example of untranslated content?
Is it from front-end [1] or back-end [2] ?

Comment 3 Daniel Rusek 2025-04-04 11:26:33 UTC
Probably front-end. In my (Czech) language for example the whole disk set up part and some other clearly visible strings. I have also quickly checked other localizations and there were many untranslated strings in most of them as well.

Sadly do not have the F42 Beta iso here at them moment and my current internet connection is very slow, so I cannot give you more information. But you should be able to test this yourself by running the F42 Beta installation and trying a few non-English locales.

Comment 4 Katerina Koukiou 2025-04-04 11:40:21 UTC
Sorry I cannot reproduce this, there was a bug with our translations: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2351026 but this should be fixed in latest ISOs: https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/42/latest-Fedora-42/compose/Workstation/x86_64/iso/

Sorry the link I sent above has indeed outdated WebUI : https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/42/latest-Fedora-42/compose/Everything/x86_64/os/Packages/a/anaconda-webui-26-1.fc42.noarch.rpm

anaconda-webui is currently at version 32 in bodhi, not sure where you can find an up-to-date ISO.

Comment 10 Adam Williamson 2025-04-04 15:24:36 UTC
it was only pushed stable 7 hours ago. It should be in the 0405 branched compose, when that happens.
