Description Tim Skirvin 2025-06-03 14:55:32 UTC
Please branch and build fd-find (and rust-fd-find) in epel10.0. It's in epel10.1. I'm not sure of the distinction?

Comment 1 Petasus Ruber 2025-06-08 09:13:34 UTC
The difference is because EPEL 10 is built against each minor version of RHEL 10: https://carlwgeorge.fedorapeople.org/presentations/epel-10-overview-2024-f40-release-party.pdf

Comment 2 Fabio Valentini 2025-06-16 07:17:09 UTC
Exactly, EPEL 10.1 is currently being built against CentOS Stream 10, which will eventually become RHEL 10.1.

At this point in the release cycle, new packages are - by default - only added to EPEL 10.1+, and adding them to EPEL 10.0 too is additional work. Given that there is now a request for that, we can do this - though I can't promise how quickly. :)

Comment 3 Ben Beasley 2025-11-01 00:05:16 UTC
I’ve looked into this, and I think it can be done as follows:

argmax: patch to allow the current epel10.0 version, 0.3.1
etcetera: branch from epel10.1
faccess: branch from epel10.1
lscolors: branch epel10.1
nix: patch to allow the current epel10.0 version, 0.29.0
tempfile: patch to allow the current epel10.0 version, 3.17.1
tikv-jemallocator/tikv-jemallocator-sys: patch out the custom allocator, as this package was doing until very recently, since jemalloc was never built for epel10.0

I will need to double-check this with some test builds before actually shipping something, but I think I can get this done in the next day or so.

That one should be: patch to allow 0.8.0.
