Description Bryan 2007-04-27 12:30:21 UTC
Description of problem:
After selecting boot from IMG, Install stops with a message that it cannot find
the root filesystem. Brings up another message - please create a symlink for
/dev/root and exit to continue. At the prompt, after trying to create the
symlink, it says filesystem already created, trying to exit does nothing.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
F7 T4

Additional info:

From the installed system, can you provide the output of dmesg, lspci and lsmod?

dmesg lspci and lsmod info

Comment 3 Joseph Shraibman 2007-05-08 23:57:11 UTC
I got this when booting from an iso inside a xen full virtual guest on an fc6
machine, but booting from the dvd worked fine on the same machine.

Does this happen every time? Can you look from the shell you get dropped into
to see if:
1) Does /sys/block/sr0 exist?
2) Is sr_mod loaded?
