Doc Text:
A flaw was found in 7zip. The vulnerability stems from improper handling of symbolic links during file extraction, potentially allowing a local attacker to trigger an application level denial of service via a crafted archive file. This occurs because the software fails to validate symbolic link targets adequately. Consequently, an attacker can exploit this by providing a specially designed archive containing malicious symbolic links.
