Description Markus Lindholm 2007-05-08 19:23:37 UTC
Description of problem:
After upgrading to the latest kernel I've started to experience that the system
hangs from time to time for a minute or so

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.6.20-1.2948

How reproducible:
Happens from time to time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start some disk activity
2. If the system hangs, then wait for a minute or so
3. Proceed normally

Actual results:
System hangs

Expected results:
No delays

Additional info:
After some searching on the net I found that the line 'options sata_nv adma=0'
in /etc/modprobe.conf could help and it seems to have in my case. The disk in
question is a ATA Maxtor 6N040T0 and the controller an nVidia CK804

(This is a mass-update to all current FC6 kernel bugs in NEW state)

Hello,

I'm reviewing this bug list as part of the kernel bug triage project, an attempt
to isolate current bugs in the Fedora kernel.

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/KernelBugTriage

I am CC'ing myself to this bug, however this version of Fedora is no longer
maintained.

Please attempt to reproduce this bug with a current version of Fedora (presently
Fedora 8). If the bug no longer exists, please close the bug or I'll do so in a
few days if there is no further information lodged.

Thanks for using Fedora!
