Description Michael J Gruber 2025-09-30 10:43:44 UTC
python3-matplotlib-data-fonts-3.10.6-2.fc42.noarch does not belong to a distupgrade repository and thus prevents upgrades f42->f43.

While technically it is the f42 version which causes this bug, it is f43 which is affected as upgrades are not possible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. LANG=C dnf --releasever=43 --assumeno distro-sync --refresh

Actual Results:
Repositories loaded.
Failed to resolve the transaction:
Problem: installed package python3-matplotlib-data-3.10.6-2.fc42.noarch requires python3-matplotlib-data-fonts = 3.10.6-2.fc42, but none of the providers can be installed
  - python3-matplotlib-data-fonts-3.10.6-2.fc42.noarch does not belong to a distupgrade repository

Comment 3 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2025-10-21 03:41:48 UTC
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 43-final by Fedora user qulogic using the blocker tracking app because:

This bug causes a FTI for upgrades from F42, which I understand to be a valid freeze exception, though I suppose I'd be fine leaving it for release day if not.
