This is a tracking bug for Change: Changes/F44 Boost 1 90
For more details, see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/F44_Boost_1_90

This change brings Boost 1.90.0 to Fedora. This will mean Fedora ships with a recent upstream Boost release.

Comment 1 Jonathan Wakely 2026-01-13 18:12:41 UTC
60+ packages have been rebuilt using boost-1.90.0 in the f44-build-side-125975 side tag:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/builds?start=0&userID=jwakely&order=-build_id

This is fewer than half the packages that need to be rebuilt, but many of them are FTBFS due to gcc-16 or other reasons that are independent of the Boost update.

Comment 2 Jonathan Wakely 2026-02-03 15:56:21 UTC
As far as I'm concerned this change is complete. Some reverse dependencies are still FTBFS (for various reasons) but they should either be retired or need to be fixed by the maintainers. Those packages are linked to above, and I've added comments to each of them with hints about what's needed to fix them.
