If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem. If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks. Hello, Please note that this comment was generated automatically by https://pagure.io/releng/blob/main/f/scripts/ftbfs-fti/follow-policy.py If you feel that this output has mistakes, please open an issue at https://pagure.io/releng/ This package fails to install and maintainers are advised to take one of the following actions: - Fix this bug and close this bugzilla once the update makes it to the repository. (The same script that posted this comment will eventually close this bugzilla when the fixed package reaches the repository, so you don't have to worry about it.) or - Move this bug to ASSIGNED if you plan on fixing this, but simply haven't done so yet. or - Orphan the package if you no longer plan to maintain it. If you do not take one of these actions, the process at https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs will continue. This package may be orphaned in 7+ weeks. This is the first reminder (step 3) from the policy. Since this package (guitarix) is still FTI (FailToInstall) on F44 due to broken dependency against boost, and now rawhide guitarix is now updated to 0.47.0 which seems to be buildable against current boost, would you update F44 guitarix also to 0.47.0, build on koji and submit updates on bodhi? Thank you. Currently this package breaks Fedora-Jam_KDE-Live compose.
FEDORA-2026-82d18a9c96 (guitarix-0.47.0-1.fc44) has been submitted as an update to Fedora 44. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-82d18a9c96
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 44-beta by Fedora user mtasaka using the blocker tracking app because: Currently guitarix is FTI on Fedora 44 (due to broken deps for new boost), and this guitarix FTI prevents F44 Fedora-Jam_KDE-Live Liveimage compose.
+3 in https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/blocker-review/issue/2061 , marking accepted FE.
FEDORA-2026-82d18a9c96 has been pushed to the Fedora 44 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2026-82d18a9c96` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-82d18a9c96 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates.
Adam, can I write https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-82d18a9c96 on https://forge.fedoraproject.org/releng/tickets/issues/13243 ?
Guitarix can be installed now on F44 RC 1.2, however it starts with an error warning, see attachment. As per this report, I consider the original problem solved and therefore bug is verified.
Created attachment 2132153 [details] Picture of started Guitarix
(In reply to Lukas Ruzicka from comment #11) > however it starts with an error > warning, see attachment. I will leave this report of yours to guitarix maintainer.
