Description Simon de Vlieger 2026-01-16 21:29:22 UTC
Hi, we'd like to package duplicity in epel10 and this package is one of its dependencies. Could you branch and build python-stevedore in epel10?

If you don't want to maintain python-stevedore in epel10 or don't think you'll be able to do this in a timely manner I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS: supakeen). You can add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-stevedore/adduser

Comment 1 Gwyn Ciesla 2026-02-04 20:49:11 UTC
Scratch build succeeds, please add me (limb) as a maintainer and I can take care of it.

Comment 3 Steve Traylen 2026-03-11 12:35:18 UTC

Please branch and build python-stevedore in epel10.

If you do not wish to maintain python-stevedore in epel10,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS stevetraylen);
please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-stevedore/adduser

Comment 4 Davide Cavalca 2026-03-15 04:37:01 UTC
I tried requesting the branch now but fedpkg keeps getting stuck. Will retry later or tomorrow. I can confirm that this builds fine and shouldn't be a problem at all to get into epel10.

Comment 6 Steve Traylen 2026-03-15 06:46:29 UTC
Thank's for the 10.3 package.

Could you create a 10.1 and 10.2 package also?

In case unaware you create those branches with:

fedpkg request-branch --no-auto-module epel10.2
fedpkg request-branch --no-auto-module epel10.1

Comment 7 Davide Cavalca 2026-03-15 16:55:09 UTC
That doesn't seem to work:

$ fedpkg request-branch --no-auto-module 10.1
Could not execute request_branch: You must provide SLs for non-release branches 10.1
$ fedpkg request-branch --no-auto-module 10.2
Could not execute request_branch: You must provide SLs for non-release branches 10.2

Comment 8 Steve Traylen 2026-03-15 19:25:25 UTC
Sorry for giving the wrong strings and for nagging :-)

fedpkg request-branch --no-auto-module epel10.1

and

fedpkg request-branch --no-auto-module epel10.2
