Description Tommy He 2026-01-27 04:32:18 UTC
Syncthing has migrated its backend database to SQLite, which resulted in a v2 release.
Though the existing 1.30 release is still bi-way compatible with v2 nodes, the security and feature enhancement seem only to happen on v2 release branch.

Therefore, it would be good to start packaging syncthing v2 release in Fedora.

Many thanks for the continuous effort you put into maintaining the package.

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Fabio Valentini 2026-02-03 22:04:33 UTC
The v2 update is taking a bit longer because syncthing no longer compiles in non-GO111MODULE mode, which requires migrating it to the new Go packaging toolchain ... which is happening and should hopefully happen soon.
