This one is strange. I tried downgrading my XChat on my Fedora 7 to xchat-2.6.6-8.el5.i386.rpm from CentOS and Alt+A worked just fine (de_AT.UTF-8 locale here in case that matters). It also works fine in the Fedora 7 package. Probably related: http://forum.xchat.org/viewtopic.php?t=3727 Kevin, That was it! I added some text to the feild and then it started working. Thanks for the leg work. I had looked on the news groups but never ran across that post. Jeff |
