Description Bruno Postle 2026-06-28 17:43:48 UTC
blender fails to start because of a symbol error in materialx 1.39.5-1

To reproduce:

$ blender
blender: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libusd_ms.so.0.25.8: undefined symbol: _ZTIN17MaterialX_v1_39_47ElementE

Downgrading to materialx-1.39.4-3.fc43.x86_64.rpm (built 15 Feb 2026) fixes the problem, so presumably usd-libs or blender (or both) needs to be rebuilt against this new materialx.

Reproducible: Always
