No matter how many times I try to install RedHat Linux 7 on my Gateway PC, 
I get the same failure.

What install choices did you make?

I took the defaults for the most part (no special device drivers); when asked 
for the mount point, I entered / as the documentation seemed to suggest. But 
that might have been wrong.
