This is actually a bug in yum-aliases, which is fixed upstream, you can change the top of /usr/lib/yum-plugins/aliases.py from: from i18n import _ ...to: try: # $rand yum using python code don't have i18n from i18n import _ except: def _(x): return x *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 428850 *** Thank you.
