Description of problem:
I have a new install of Fedora 8.  During the initial use of yum I errantly downloaded yum-3.2.8-2.fc9 instead of *fc8.  yum itself works fine, but when I tried to activate the gui "Add/Remove Software"  I received the following :

1. Every time I try to use Add/Remove Software from the gui interface

I get a debug panel with the above error report

Expected Results:
I should get a screen demonstrating installed software and options to install new or remove existing software

Additional info:
This may be related to the use of a "9" version of yum instead of "8"
