Description aviad 1999-08-09 11:26:32 UTC
1) My Matrox Millenium card was identified as an S3 trio
2) The Crystal Audio card was not identified. Running
sndconfig screwed up the isapnp.conf file
3) After applying the KDE errata /etc/profile.d/kde.csh had
an erronous command (a shell type set instead of a setenv
command), which caused tcsh logins to fail.

This is pretty bad for an install process!

what does lspci (or cat /proc/pci) say on your system?

Comment 2 Bill Nottingham 1999-08-27 21:37:59 UTC
It didn't 'misdetect' your millenium card; you actually
have two graphics cards in the system. Are you trying to
use the Matrox instead of the S3?

What exact kind of sound card do you have?
(does it show up under 'pnpdump'; if so, as what?

Closing bug, lack of response.
