Description of problem:
gpk-application do not permit to install package (install icon is gray) in a VNC
session.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-packagekit-0.1.12-12.20080430.fc9.i386

mcabber-0.9.7-1.fc9 has been pushed to the Fedora 9 testing repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
 If you want to test the update, you can install it with

Nothing, I think FUS has got the bug number wrong :-)

Your problem is due to the vnc client not registering with ConsoleKit I guess.
In the vnc session can you do ck-list-sessions please, and paste the output. Thanks.

I'm actually using UltraVNC client (under Windows v. 1.1.0.4)

The command output is:

Right, the active = FALSE tells PackageKit you're not actually on console.

I've added a warning in the current rawhdie version, although this is actually a vnc bug IMO.
