Description Nicolas Mailhot 2008-11-29 11:40:21 UTC
Bitstream Vera has long been deprecated in Fedora in favour of DejaVu, which is a community fork and extension of the Bitsream release. The majority of users will have DejaVu installed on system and pulling Vera in is a waste of resources.

For Fedora 11, please consider changing the fbida deps on bitstream-vera-fonts to one or several of:

	dejavu-fonts-sans
	dejavu-fonts-sans-mono
	dejavu-fonts-serif
	dejavu-fonts-lgc-sans
	dejavu-fonts-lgc-sans-mono
	dejavu-fonts-lgc-serif

Nowadays LGC is only installed for special cases, and people use the full version of the fonts.

The compat packages are transitory and will be gone in F12

In compare with this package size, bitstream fonts are tiny.
But, as they'll be gone in future, new release is referencing dejavu now.
