I confirm that modifying /etc/dbus-1/system.conf to read: <allow send_destination="*"/> <allow receive_sender="*"/> successfully works around the problem. Hi, this setting is potentially dangerous, you should wait for an updated version of bluez, it's already fixed and will be available soon. I do not see updated version of bluez yet, not even in updates-testing. What am I supposed to do while I wait for it? You can use this setting until the update is released as this is the setting used before, but don't forget to change it back once you do the update. I've did update from testing and bluetooth works well! Thank you! I've done "yum --enablerepo=updates-testing" and tried to update these bluetooth packages but yum cannot locate them. *** Bug 476322 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** The bluez update allowed me to go further but there appears to be some race or similar problem in the pairing process (Try "Browse device.." with an unpaired one). I tested two phones. The problem disappeared at the second attempt with Sony-Ericsson K610i and I eventually could browse its storage. I have attempted also browsing Nokia N95 8GB but I could not complete the pairing process, IIRC. Matt, Have you performed a: "yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update" (In reply to comment #9) > Matt, > > Have you performed a: > "yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update" Yes, sorry, forgot to update this.. I guess I needed to wait for packages to propagate. I have the new bluetooth packages and things are working well. This should have been fixed by now. Reopen if you can reproduce with the latest updates for F10. |
