Description of problem:
Please make alacarte.desktop "OnlyShowIn=GNOME;" instead of "NotShowIn=KDE;" because it doesn't work for other desktops and only confuses people as seen in bug # 486681.
- KDE has its own menu editor, so has Xfce 4.4.
- Xfce 4.6 has no menu editor but also no support for Menu merging, so this won't work ether.
- Xfce 4.8 will have support for menu merging, but then an xfce autostart editor will be back.
- Does not work for LXDE, opebox, ...
