Not sure what you are doing, but the XF86Audio keys are all bound by default to the correct actions. Why do you think you need to bind them manually ? I want to use XF86Audio keys to control volume with `amixer sset ...' Works fine here. I create a custom shortcut, then when I try to assign the mute button to it, it asks me if i want to disable the "Volume Mute" command. If I say yes, then my command assigned to the mute button. Do the audio buttons work for their original function for you ? Original function is ok, but custom not. It's assigned but not working. Any idea how can I track it? Probably is key caught somewhere else.

assigning works for me too, but command is not invoked, when I press the button...
Oh, hmm. This doesn't seem to work 100% reliably. Just now I've gotten XF86AudioMute to trigger both the mute and the custom command... Filed upstream here: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580616 Thanks a lot. I will track it there. Should hopefully be fixed in gnome-settings-daemon-2.26.1-3.fc11 Thanks. Now it is working. |
