Description of problem:
section 3.2.3.2 (user attributes) talks about pam_mkhomedir for creating home directories for ldap users. It seems that Fedora is moving away from that, preferring oddjob-mkhomedir. It wouldn't hurt to have a little section/note on installing oddjob, making sure the daemon is running, and how to configure /etc/pam.d/system-auth to utilize it.

FYI there is an option to ipa-client-install to enable pam_mkhomedirs now.
