Description of problem:

5/21.1 build rhel 5 server
rhel 5 client

1. setup monitoring
2. on client install httpd 
3. start httpd
4. setup probe  General: TCP Check 
on port 80 
Send = "GET HEAD\n"

results in a malformed Event log, see screenshot

This behaviour is caused by the same reason as BZ#498650. Check for more info.
