Description John Thacker 2009-08-10 13:48:23 UTC
Description of problem:
The anthy-9100h-5.fc11 update release (FEDORA-2009-7675) does not install on x86_64. The i586 and x86_64 packages conflict by having different dictionary files /usr/share/anthy/anthy.dic

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
anthy-9100h-5.fc11

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum update anthy on a x86_64 machine

Actual results:
File downloads, rpm attempts install, and then
Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/share/anthy/anthy.dic conflicts between attempted installs of
anthy-9100h-5.fc11.x86_64 and anthy-9100h-5.fc11.i586

Expected results:
anthy update should install.

Additional info:
Diff'ing the build logs (http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/anthy/9100h/5.fc11/data/logs/x86_64/ and http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/anthy/9100h/5.fc11/data/logs/i586/) makes it clear that different dictionary files were generated. The dictionary files are generated during compilation.

Out of curiousity why do you need anthy to be multilib?

Comment 2 John Thacker 2009-08-12 03:58:39 UTC
I don't think I need it to be, or that anyone else particularly does. But if so, why is the i586 package in the x86_64 repository? That's not the case for most packages that don't need to be multilib.

The i586 package was installed by default along with the x86_64 package when F11 was installed.

Comment 3 Akira TAGOH 2009-08-20 09:39:50 UTC
Fixed in anthy-9100h-7.fc{10,11,12}.
