Description jeremy boyd 2009-08-11 18:54:09 UTC
Description of problem: the rhythmbox volume controls default is very low and when i open the program and start playing music i need to raise it. if the playhead moves from track to track the volume stays put but if i select another track and interupt the playing it resets the volume to its default.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.12.3

How reproducible: always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.raise volume to desired level during playback
2.select a different song
3.

Actual results: volume decreases to the low default

Expected results:volume should remain where it was

i also get a slightly different behaviour at other times. everytime i select a new song the volume is reduced by half. i.e if the volume fader says that it is at 40%, after i select a new song it will say 20% etc.
