IMHO, this bug should be pushed upstream and CLOSED/UPSTREAM. This is nothing we should change in our instance. http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Staying_close_to_upstream_projects Bugzilla does support some basic communication via email but we have not enabled it on our servers. I know it supports adding of comments but I am not sure about attachments. The reason we have not implemented it so far is we are still working on the authentication issue. Right now anyone can forge an email by messing with the From: header which Bugzilla blindly uses to figure out who to make the change as. We are proposing using a system where you send an initial email that returns a token to your email address. Then you pass that token with each subsequent Bugzilla email. The token would expire after maybe 24 hours or less. But due to higher priority projects and limited resources we have not yet been able to work on this. Of course it would be better if the upstream had time to work on or with us on this task. Dave |
