Description Christoph Karl 2009-09-14 18:37:15 UTC
Description of problem:
The SRPM "arts-1.5.10-5.fc11.src.rpm" cannot be rebuild with current F11.
(F11 plus all updates till today)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
"arts-1.5.10-5.fc11.src.rpm"

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
mock -r ck --rebuild arts-1.5.10-5.fc11.src.rpm
(ck is more or less fedora-11-x86_64, but only using local repos)

Actual results:
ERROR: Exception(/mnt/lager/ARCHIVE/fedora-11-repository/fedora/SRPMS//arts-1.5.10-5.fc11.src.rpm) Config(ck) 0 minutes 45 seconds
INFO: Results and/or logs in: /var/lib/mock/ck/result
ERROR: Command failed. See logs for output.
 # ['bash', '--login', '-c', 'rpmbuild -bb --target x86_64 --nodeps builddir/build/SPECS/arts.spec']

Expected results:
Clean rebuild

Additional info:
According to the log file I assume the following problem:
*** YOU'RE USING automake (GNU automake) 1.11.
*** KDE requires automake 1.6.1 or newer
And a wild guess would be that the compare of the version string is string based instead of number based.
IMO this problem should already be solved by some other KDE components,
so it should be possible to copy it over.

thank you

This is already fixed in Rawhide, we won't be issuing an F11 update just for that, sorry.
