Thanks for the debug information. According to the strace it looks like that banshee checks for some status of the ipod after it has ejected it. IMHO this looks like a race condition between two threads in banshee, especially because it does not happen on my system at all... I've opened a bug report upstream: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=605074 This bug should be fixed in Banshee 1.8.0 (in F14) which no longer uses ipod-sharp but libgpod (so the race condition should be gone). Is there any way for you to test this? This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 12. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained.
