Tried the initiator (iscsi-initiator-utils-6.2.0.871-0.12.el5) in comment #23 of bug #514926 with the 5.4.z kernel and verified the issue no longer occurs. An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
