My tests indicate that its on importing files, or having the watch folder feature enabled.

If I turn that feature off it doesn't crash every time I load it

Comment 3 Samuel Nicholas 2010-01-15 23:19:06 UTC
Error console within rythmbox shows that its having trouble with some jpg's specifically cover art for http://ocremix.org/album/14/final-fantasy-iv-echoes-of-betrayal-light-of-redemption which is freely downloadable.

These images load fine in eye of gnome and gimp. and saving the files from gimp stops them from throwing the error

so a temp solution for me is to look at the import errors on the left hand menu, check the offending files, load and save in gimp. no more crashes to annoy me.

Comment 4 David Kaylor 2010-01-17 23:16:02 UTC
Image errors appears to be the cause of the problems for me as well. I tried the Gimp re-save solution and I am no longer receiving errors or crash notifications. An example can be downloaded from http://www.archive.org/download/LostChildren023/rearcover.jpg
