Description Sean Middleditch 2010-03-17 02:24:46 UTC
All GLUT programs I've used with freeglut end up spamming this error the console:

freeglut (/usr/lib64/mesa/dinoshade): Unknown X event type: 96

I don't know what that event is (and neither does freeglut, apparently). Google isn't helping much and I don't see it in any of the core X headers.

The dinoshade app is part of mesa-demos to use as a test case. I'm running on an ATI R600 card (HD4770, ChipID = 0x94b3) with the -ati driver on x86-64, using GNOME/Metacity with compositing enabled. Pertinent package versions:

freeglut-2.6.0-3.fc13.x86_64
mesa-libGL-7.8-0.18.fc13.x86_64
mesa-dri-drivers-experimental-7.8-0.18.fc13.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.13.0-0.23.20100219gite68d3a389.fc13.x86_64
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.99.901-8.20100223.fc13.x86_64

I am not seeing any logs or errors from any other toolkits that appear even remotely related to this one.
