Description Jens Petersen 2010-04-20 04:31:47 UTC
Description of problem:
The official haskell.org logo changed in 2009.

http://haskell.org/haskellwiki/Thompson-Wheeler_logo

Let me know how I can help with this or feel free to assign to me
representing the haskell-sig.

Comment 1 Bill Nottingham 2010-04-20 14:54:41 UTC
There's no license for the artwork on that page.

Comment 2 Bill Nottingham 2010-04-20 14:55:35 UTC
If it falls under the general license for that wiki content, that's fine. But it's not obvious that it does.

Comment 3 Jens Petersen 2010-04-23 04:51:33 UTC
(Yeah all recent content on the haskell wiki should fall under the simple wiki license.)

I contacted the author Jeff Wheeler and he responded that he put the original
images (on that page) in the public domain: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.haskell.general/17070/

Though I think we should actually use the Wiki logo in the top-left hand corner of all the wiki pages:
http://haskell.org/sitewiki/images/a/a8/Haskell-logo-60.png

Let me ask on the haskell-cafe mailing-list what the license of that image should be to replace the current text in:

http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=comps-extras.git;a=blob;f=COPYING

Comment 5 Bill Nottingham 2010-04-23 18:51:52 UTC
Added in 20-1.

Thank you! :)
