This technique of creating a small /boot partition for holding the kernel(s) to be booted, is a hold-over from previous releases which used an older (v0.7) of aboot, which had a limitation on how far a kernel could be from the start of the partition. This limitation no longer exists with aboot v0.9a which is part of the alpha-7.2-beta1 installation. Fixed and will be in next delivery. I'm closing this case because it was fixed in the Feb 22 delivery. Please let us know if you still see any problems with this issue. |
