I'm sure my selection of the component is not correct but there was no other means clearly setup in bugzilla to report an issue for a "missing" package. So I tied it to the release notes that at least lists this as a removed package and hence my report in the first place. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux major release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Major release. This request is not yet committed for inclusion. I see that the "keyword" futurefeature was added to this ticket. What does that mean exactly? Essentially, 'a request for a new package'. While the setup is more complex, the dracut initramfs *does* supoprt NFS root booting. Brian, we're going to add more detail in the doc around how to accomplish the tasks that s-c-netboot was used for. You can review it in the Technical Note field in this bugzilla if you'd like. Sorry, we just can't add the package back. Note about this bug being closed: refer to current bug 607544. |
