Description Eduardo Habkost 2010-05-14 21:38:58 UTC
This bug is for the task of checking for RHEL5 KVM patches that are not yet upstream or not included on RHEL6

Comment 2 Eduardo Habkost 2010-05-14 21:55:50 UTC
Sorry for the Bugzilla spam on virt-maint. Removing virt-maint from CC/assignee.

Comment 5 RHEL Program Management 2010-06-07 15:57:32 UTC
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux major release. Product Management has requested further
review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux Major release. This request is not yet committed for
inclusion.

Comment 9 RHEL Program Management 2010-07-15 14:12:31 UTC
This issue has been proposed when we are only considering blocker
issues in the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. It has
been denied for the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release.

** If you would still like this issue considered for the current
release, ask your support representative to file as a blocker on
your behalf. Otherwise ask that it be considered for the next
Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. **

Not applied:

http://harpoon.virt.bos.redhat.com/~ehabkost/kvm-patches/kvm-0018-kvm-userspace-set-pci-mem-to-start-at-0xc100000-and.patch

Which means we have (almost) 1G PCI I/O space in RHEL-5 and 512M PCI I/O space in RHEL-6 (like upstream). IIRC this was discussed on the lists, so I think this is intentional though. Comments?

This patch is ok to ship 6.0 and can be slated for 6.1. Created bug 621625 for that patch and am closing this one.
