Sorry for the Bugzilla spam on virt-maint. Removing virt-maint from CC/assignee. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux major release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Major release. This request is not yet committed for inclusion. This issue has been proposed when we are only considering blocker issues in the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. It has been denied for the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. ** If you would still like this issue considered for the current release, ask your support representative to file as a blocker on your behalf. Otherwise ask that it be considered for the next Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. ** I'm uncertain about the spice patches, can pci/bios/acpi/spice people check them? http://harpoon.virt.bos.redhat.com/~ehabkost/kvm-patches/kvm-fix-bigmem-offset-calculation-for-qxl.patch http://harpoon.virt.bos.redhat.com/~ehabkost/kvm-patches/kvm-0018-kvm-userspace-set-pci-mem-to-start-at-0xc100000-and.patch http://harpoon.virt.bos.redhat.com/~ehabkost/kvm-patches/kvm-fix-wrong-bios-pci-mapping-for-large-slots-Bug-49943.patch http://harpoon.virt.bos.redhat.com/~ehabkost/kvm-patches/kvm-fix-unresigered-vbe-physical-mapping-as-reserved-mem.patch http://harpoon.virt.bos.redhat.com/~ehabkost/kvm-patches/kvm-fix-wrong-acpi-mapping-rhel5.x-kvm-userspace.patch all other Izik's patches I checked them already, and they're obsolete. The above 5 I guess are obsolete as well but I don't know for sure. Not applied: http://harpoon.virt.bos.redhat.com/~ehabkost/kvm-patches/kvm-0018-kvm-userspace-set-pci-mem-to-start-at-0xc100000-and.patch Which means we have (almost) 1G PCI I/O space in RHEL-5 and 512M PCI I/O space in RHEL-6 (like upstream). IIRC this was discussed on the lists, so I think this is intentional though. Comments? This patch is ok to ship 6.0 and can be slated for 6.1. Created bug 621625 for that patch and am closing this one. |
