Description of problem:
When installed a 5.5 guest under RHEL6 using virtio driver, it did not work,
* it hung here if using it as a boot disk for installation.

Starting SeaBIOS (version pre-0.5.1-669c991)
gPXE (http://etherboot.org) - 00:05.0 C900 PC12.10 PnP BBS PMM3FE0@10 C900

* if boot the guest by replacing successfully installed image from IDE to virtio, the rootfs can't be mounted.

* if adding a new virtio disk to the existing 5.5 guest, it hung after the grub.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. virt-manager installs a 5.5 guest via HTTP using a virtio disk.
  
Actual results:
Installation was blocked at the very beginning.

Expected results:
Install successfully.

The host is a Lenovo X200 laptop with Intel CPU.
