*** Bug 592550 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This package is currently orphaned in Fedora but I will look into fixing this issue by the end of the day. same problem $ yum list tremulous* Zainstalowane pakiety tremulous.x86_64 1.1.0-10.fc12 @fedora tremulous-data.noarch 1.1.0-7.fc12 @fedora $ uname -a Linux amd64 2.6.33.5-124.fc13.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Jun 11 09:38:12 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux ... ******************** ERROR: opStack corrupted in compiled code (offset 10235433) ******************** ----- CL_Shutdown ----- Closing SDL audio device... Did a google search and found this: http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=11289.0 Maybe some build options need to be changed. I can confirm that using binary from the forum, the tremulous can start. However when I try to start the server mode it ends up with another error:

*** Bug 490240 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component. tremulous-data-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 14. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/tremulous-data-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14 tremulous-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 14. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/tremulous-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14 After discussion with upstream, we've decided that the best way to fix this bug is to upgrade to new 1.2.0 beta version, which is stable enough and works also on x86_64. I think it's much more better to ship beta than more-or-less not-working stable version. tremulous-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14 has been pushed to the Fedora 14 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. If you want to test the update, you can install it with su -c 'yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update tremulous'. You can provide feedback for this update here: http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/tremulous-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14 I had this problem on fc13 x86_64 using these packages: tremulous-1.1.0-10.fc12.x86_64 tremulous-data-1.1.0-7.fc12.noarch I can confirm that upgrading to... tremulous-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14.x86_64 tremulous-data-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14.noarch ...resolved the problem. Many thanks. I forced the F14 packages to install on F13 and it seemed to work fine. tremulous-data-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14 has been pushed to the Fedora 14 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. tremulous-1.2.0-0.1.beta1.fc14 has been pushed to the Fedora 14 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. This is not fixed. Tremulous 1.2 client cannot connect to 1.1 servers (which is what 90% of the servers are running) as the protocol is different. If you want to provide Tremulous 1.2 then please do it in a separate package. The correct solution to this bug is to do what Mandriva guy did and use the mercenariesguild client. Cheerio! |
