This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux major release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Major release. This request is not yet committed for inclusion. Can you post the contents of /etc/sysconfig/iptables? (is it 0 length? If so, is there an "iptables.old" file? What happens if you mv that file to /etc/sysconfig/iptables?) or at least it should show some better error, than unspecified error. Agreed. I will try to make the handling of a missing/0 length iptables file more graceful. Since this is the same issue as Bug 582905, I'm marking it as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 582905 *** |
