Description Tobias Mueller 2010-09-01 22:16:55 UTC
Description of problem:
QEMU is not able to boot a OpenSolaris LiveCD

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. wget http://www.genunix.org/distributions/indiana/osol-dev-134-x86.iso
2. qemu -cdrom osol-dev-134-x86.iso
3.

Actual results:
hogs cpu

Expected results:
I expected qemu to emulated hardware just fine so that OpenSolaris boots

Additional info:
Neither Schillix not other Solaris based CDs work with the same symptoms
OpenSolaris 2009-06 shows some dots before it returns to GRUB.

Thanks for the bug report. There appears to be issue with the opensolaris partitions being seen. There was a patch floating around, I will do some testing and see if that fixes things.

Solaris 11 and OpenIndiana oi_151a both work here in Fedora 16. I think this old bug can be closed.

Although timekeeping is buggered: https://www.illumos.org/issues/1871 and
