I have no proposed patch; I care much more about the server side than about xmlrpclib. I want SimpleXMLServer to not shut down the TCP connection of a client that supports HTTP/1.1. Created attachment 448318 [details]

I am not sure that's what you are looking for, but the code I need to optimize is attached. There, each xml-rpc call ends with a shutdown by SimpleXMLRPCServer, which means that the established connection cannot be reused event if the client supports HTTP/1.1.
