Comment 2 Daiki Ueno 2010-09-21 01:24:03 UTC
Unfortunately the fix requires to change ibus itself. I've put a new RPMs to test (note that the release number is not incremented, while the surrounding-text patch included is updated):

http://ueno.fedorapeople.org/ibus-surrounding-text/

Testing would be appreciated.

I don't see any SEGV with Alt_R but I understood the current patch has a problem.

Modified the fixed patch slightly:
http://github.com/ueno/ibus/commit/b80f5e8f3da073a7aeb484b45f2f3797a3ab3a99

http://github.com/fujiwarat/ibus/commit/1a1f0ce17184ca1a67137cf5fade3d250f2aaac2

F14 package is available in comment #3

F13 scratch build is also available:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=2493118

Currently rawhide has a problem:
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/perl-libwww-perl-5.837-1.fc14

Comment 5 fujiwara 2010-09-29 05:39:02 UTC
It seems I looked the old patch. The latest patch already resolved almost my concerns.

Applied the latest patch:
http://github.com/fujiwarat/ibus/commit/d4b10b2e9aec0e1fb0674bab70c439ccc91ea07b

perl-libwww-perl-5.837 was fixed in rawhide.

F13 scratch build:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=2495986
Will update F14 soon.
