in kernel 2.6.18-128.26.1.el5

linux-2.6-fs-aio-race-in-aio_complete-leads-to-process-hang.patch

Comment 7 Petr Beňas 2010-11-09 11:00:47 UTC
The reproducer remains unknown.
According http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/3/12/207 the bug was reproduced on eight Xeon machine. I've tested heavy aio multithreaded reads with aio-stress on machine with eight Xeons. I've never triggered the hang on unpatched -128.25.1.el5 nor patched -128.26.1.el5.

Comment 8 Petr Beňas 2010-11-09 11:19:19 UTC
code review.
Verified the patch is actually being applied in 2.6.18-128.26.el5 source.
