In addition, if turn off alsa and fluidsynth TuxGuitar plugins (just remove them from "usr/share/tuxguitar/plugins"), all works correctly. Comment ----- Just after the splash screen the application crashed. This looks like a crash caused by native code which is part of tuxguitar (and not openjdk) - org.herac.tuxguitar.player.impl.midiport.alsa.MidiSystem. From the name, it sounds like this code is responsible for interacting with alsa, so disabling alsa seems like a possible workaround. #8 0x8b25a6f0 in ??
