Description Andrew J. Schorr 2010-10-19 22:13:38 UTC
Description of problem: When one installs or upgrades the glibc rpm, it installs its own copy of /etc/rpc instead of preserving the existing file.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):2.12.1-2

How reproducible: upgrade glibc

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum update glibc
2.
3.

Actual results: The existing /etc/rpc file is overwritten with the /etc/rpc file that is bundled inside the glibc rpm. This removes any local modifications that have been made.

Expected results: The existing /etc/rpc file should be left in place, and the bundled version may be installed in /etc/rpc.rpmnew

Additional info: This should be a simple fix to the spec file.
