Package: empathy-2.32.0.1-2.fc14
Architecture: x86_64
OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)

How to reproduce
-----
before:
i ran fedora 13, made a backup of my /home, fresh installed fedora 14, restored data and started empathy.
my icq-account ran out of the box, but for my jabber-accounts there was the 'the servers ssl-cert is bad...'-message, which i somehow answered (ignore, continue...)
a day after the message appears again, so i searched the config:
1. empathy was runnig
2. in my jabber-account i activated the checkbox 'ignore ssl-cert-errors'
3. the bug-report-alert appereared
4. i inactived and reactivated my jabber-accounts
5. i realized empathy was closed
6. i restarted empathy, and
7. everything seems fine now.

Comment
-----
i dont know if i can reproduce it. but that was the way it happened.

Comment 3 Andre Costa 2010-11-08 12:37:47 UTC
Package: empathy-2.32.0.1-2.fc14
Architecture: x86_64
OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)

How to reproduce
-----
1. open account edit dialog
2. check "Ignore SSL certificate errors" on Advanced panel for a Jabber account
3. click "Apply"

Comment
-----
To be more specific, I marked the checkbox, then unmarked it, tried to close the dialog
but couldn't because I was told I needed to either confirm or cancel the changes. When
I tried to apply the changes empathy crashed. Don't know if this is relevant, but it was
a Google Talk account.

Comment 4 Thorbjørn Lindeijer 2010-11-09 20:22:12 UTC
Package: empathy-2.32.0.1-2.fc14
Architecture: x86_64
OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)

How to reproduce
-----
1. I disabled SSH warnings for my GTalk account, since they kept showing up even though I always checked "remember this certificate"
2. Then I pressed Apply and it started reconnecting
3. Then Empathy crashed

That crash is most likely due to Bug #650206
