Description Marcus Moeller 2010-11-05 07:47:26 UTC
Description of problem:

we got now about 60.000 orphaned packages (due to deletion of old
Fedora releases). It is not possible to delete them, neither via gui
nor via api (which stucks during channel.software.listPackagesWithoutChannel either with a 502 Proxy Error, a connection timeout or a 500 Internal Server Error).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.1

How reproducible:
try to delete a large number of packages in no channel (+10'000)

Actual results:
500 Error - Internal Server Error

Expected results:
packages should be deleted

Additional info:
this bug exists since 'the stone age' :/

Mass-aligning under space12, so that we don't lose track of this bugzilla. This
however does not mean that we plan (will be able to) address this bug in
Spacewalk 1.2.

Comment 2 Jan Pazdziora (Red Hat) 2010-11-19 16:03:19 UTC
Mass-moving to space13.

Comment 3 Miroslav Suchý 2011-04-11 07:32:01 UTC
We did not have time for this one during Spacewalk 1.4 time frame. Mass moving to Spacewalk 1.5.

Comment 4 Miroslav Suchý 2011-04-11 07:36:34 UTC

Aligning under space16.

Comment 6 Clifford Perry 2011-08-05 14:38:56 UTC
This is a duplicate of another bugzilla reported already. Short term solution is to tackle in smaller chunks, say of 1000 packages at a time.
