Description James 2010-11-12 17:12:12 UTC
Description of problem:
Intermittently (around 1 in 4 times), sound is disabled on my GNOME session when I resume from suspend, until I switch to another VT and then switch back (whereupon normal service resumes).

All I've found in the logs around time of resume is

Nov 12 17:53:17 rhapsody pulseaudio[6723]: sink-input.c: Failed to create sink input: sink is suspended.

Will attempt to collect more verbose output later.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ConsoleKit-0.4.2-2.fc14.1.x86_64
pulseaudio-0.9.21-6.fc13.x86_64

Started happening for me too after update to F14. Possibly related if the HD audio powersave was enabled before suspension. FYI bug 650955 and bug 636214 look similar to this.

This is fixed with a recent CK update.
