getSymbol issue mentioned in the CVE description was fixed upstream in 5.3.4, which is in stable Fedora now.  setSymbol equivalent (bug #660382, comment #7) is fixed in upstream SVN, but not yet part of 5.3.5.

Patch which fix for setSymbol was included in php 5.3.4 (and php 5.3.5) RPM available in fedora >= 13.

Correct, I just noticed that extra patch.  Closing, as 5.3.4-1.1 is in stable already.
