getSymbol issue mentioned in the CVE description was fixed upstream in 5.3.4, which is in stable Fedora now. setSymbol equivalent (bug #660382, comment #7) is fixed in upstream SVN, but not yet part of 5.3.5.
Patch which fix for setSymbol was included in php 5.3.4 (and php 5.3.5) RPM available in fedora >= 13. http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=php.git;a=commitdiff;h=06b47842368ca7b6dc3f293353ef9b02c876abfa
Correct, I just noticed that extra patch. Closing, as 5.3.4-1.1 is in stable already.
